Core Values

God calls Paxton Presbyterian Church, a body of believers in God’s Holy Word, to be a welcoming and affirming community for all people—no matter their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic status, mental or physical ability or religious background—and to demonstrate God’s love in the world. We demonstrate God’s love by trusting that every person is a beloved child of God, made in God’s image, and worthy of love and respect and moving forward in God’s work, by:

  • Actively bringing people to Jesus Christ
  • Being faithful stewards of God’s gifts
  • Generously using and sharing all that we have
  • Nurturing faith through inspirational worship, prayer, and study of the Gospel
  • Being compassionate to all
  • Lovingly serving humanity in mission to local and global communities.

At Paxton Presbyterian Church, we believe that every person is a beloved child of God, made in God’s image, and worthy of love, dignity, and belonging. Rooted in the grace of Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, we seek to be a welcoming and affirming community for all people—no matter their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic status, mental or physical ability, or religious background.
